In September 2019, we met Patricio Lix Klett from LA FELIZ ESTUDIO in Argentina during his visit to Bangkok. This introduction was facilitated by the Royal Thai Embassy in Buenos Aires and TCDC, and our collaboration has continued since then.

During our initial meeting, Patricio brought a fascinating material with him, a net woven from natural fibers produced in Argentina. The net was dyed by hand, adding an intriguing interplay of light and shadow to the material.

The dyed net was then suspended on metal structures with a consistent color tone. The design of the lamps was inspired by the traditional Thai lamp shapes commonly found in the northern region of Thailand, which we encountered during our interactions. This direct inspiration led us to name the project “THAI lamps.” The collection includes four different sizes and offers a selection of seven colors for the material.
