Inspired by Thai traditional sweets wrapped in banana leaves, the material of the Kanom chair is close to its natural version. Banana leaf packaging is a great demonstration of Thai creativity. This concept has led to the deployment of the banana leaf in the linear structure of the mantle to evoke a personal feeling. More friendly shapes can be made as well. This work elaborates similar precision and genius of Thai style confection from the past to the present.
